Shay asked:

My husband and I purchased our home last summer. I love the home and location but **** the kitchen and bath. Our home was built in 1957 and I have hardwood floors throughout the house. When we get more settled financially, we plan to remodel both. We have narrowed it down to the following designs. We are not sure which color the kitchen will be painted but the bath will be paint either a sage green or a creamy yellow color. Choose which kitchen & bath you like best.

Where can I use my green California Health Access card?

greendancingshooz asked:

I’m out of town and forgot my pill pack at home. I need to get a new one, but I don’t know how or where to use my CA Health Access card. Any ideas of what to do? I usually go to Planned Parenthood for my pills, but I’ve already gotten my year’s supply and the PP I go to is very far from here. Help!
There isn’t a phone number on the back of the card to call.

Is it healthier to eat green beans straight from the plant?

???lf?1????? asked:

When I grow vegetables in the Summer, I refuse to use pesticides. I’m tired of buying veggies in the store and they are coated with a thick layer of grease, pesticides, and other unknown substances.

Are there any benefits of eating fresh home grown veggies instead of those found in stores? Is there a benefit to eating them raw? ….. I like eating raw veggies :)

My dog is sneezing & green mucus coming out of his eyes, no vet around on this holiday weekend. What do we do?

pearl asked:

He’s a miniature australian shepherd, about 13 lbs. Any at home cure advice welcome.
Haha, it’s not Valentine’s weekend silly, it’s Presidents Day on Monday :o) You must not live in the US… School is out and all banks and most businesses are closed.

As for the emergency vet, I don’t think we’re in dire straits here people. Would you go to the ER for a case of pink eye or a head cold? Not unless you have great insurance… I’ll call Petco in the A.M. to see if they have anything over the counter. If they don’t have anything, I’ll make a vet appt. for sometime this week. In the meantime, he is happy, full of energy and well hydrated.

Thanks for all of your advice.

Traxas asked:

We have been together for more than 5 years and I truly love him. But i have been living for over 15 years in Mexico. We both speak english, and have college degrees (architecture and mechanical engineer). Because of the violence situation in Mexico we no longer wish to live here,so I want to know how can we move to the States, ergo, how to get him a legal status in the country.

thanks for your comments
BTW we are both *** men
Since we cannot get married neither in US nor in Mexico the only viable option is Canada

going green and building a tiny house?

Posted on timeOctober 7th, 2009 by userpcgumban in catGreen Living    flag(2) Comments

Mark L asked:

I am interested in going as green as possible and building a house similar to the Tumbleweed Tiny Houses. I don’t want to buy their set of plans when I want to make my own design. Are there any good websites, books etc on easy portable architecture? I’m really just interested in the materials I’ll need and what-not, so it doesn’t fall down.

I’ve never done construction by my grandfather was a master woodworker and architect, any I am pretty good at building things, it’s in my blood.

So, where do I start?

How can I turn copper to a greenish tone?

ofélia.nachuva asked:

Does anyone know how can I give copper that green effect as if it was old? It has to be a quick procedure since I only have one week (it’s for an architecture model).
Thanks!
I have already tried vinegar, some acid wines and hydrogen peroxide. This last worked out well but the tone was more red than green.

• $75 million for “smoking cessation activities.”
• $200 million for public computer centers at community colleges.
• $75 million for salaries of employees at the FBI.
• $25 million for tribal alcohol and substance abuse reduction.
• $500 million for flood reduction projects on the Mississippi River.
• $10 million to inspect canals in urban areas.
• $6 billion to turn federal buildings into “green” buildings.
• $500 million for state and local fire stations.
• $650 million for wild land fire management on forest service lands.
• $1.2 billion for “youth activities,” including youth summer job programs.
• $88 million for renovating the headquarters of the Public Health Service.
• $412 million for CDC buildings and property.
• $500 million for building and repairing National Institutes of Health facilities in Bethesda, Maryland.
• $160 million for “paid volunteers” at the Corporation for National and Community Service.
• $5.5 million for “energy efficiency initiatives” at the Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration.
• $850 million for Amtrak.
• $100 million for reducing the hazard of lead-based paint.
• $75 million to construct a “security training” facility for State Department Security officers when they can be trained at existing facilities of other agencies.
• $110 million to the Farm Service Agency to upgrade computer systems.
• $200 million in funding for the lease of alternative energy vehicles for use on military installations
The amtrack is my personal favorite… think that would be there if Biden wasnt in the picture?
How about …
